Welcome to the joint meeting of the NZ Microbiological Society and NZ Society for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. Both societies have a long tradition of hosting dynamic, well-attended annual meetings, and we aim to make the 2010 event no exception. The conference will be held from 30 November - 3 December 2010 at the state-of-the-art Owen Glenn Building, University of Auckland Business School.
Our commitment to having a diverse, world-class scientific programme can be seen in the exceptional quality of our eminent international plenary speakers. They comprise some of the world's best researchers in their respective fields, ranging from wine science, food and industrial microbiology through to molecular evolution, medical microbiology, microbial ecology and systems biology. Additionally, there are also sessions on a wide range of other cutting-edge topics - in short, something for all interests.
Our plenary speakers give the conference a distinctly international feel; we also highly value the participation of students and other young researchers. There will be many slots (both seminars and posters) available for students and we hope to see you (and your supervisors!) here in Auckland in 2010.
